After graduating from Carleton University in 2016, I worked in the hospitality industry. A few years later, I took an opportunity to teach English in South Korea. This year abroad sparked my passion for two things – travel and teaching. When I came home from Korea, I continued my journey teaching ESL online. This was not a path I had planned to take, however, it opened up a world of possibilities for me. It gave me the flexibility to live and work from anywhere in the world. I have been able to connect with over 1250 students from 35 countries. This has allowed me to learn so much about other cultures and people.  

With this freedom, I moved to Portugal in 2022. Since then, I have been enjoying the flexibility of teaching online, being able to explore and enjoy life in this beautiful country.

In recent years, I found myself putting my creative energy towards preparing my own materials for lessons, coming up with ideas for activities, and learning about learning! Through this, I discovered the world of ID – which is the perfect combination of everything I enjoy and have studied. I am so excited to continue this journey and gain valuable experience in this industry.

Outside of work, I enjoy all types of creating – drawing, crochet, photography, and much more! (You can learn more about this part of me here). I am the happiest in the middle of a forest on a sunny day. Bonus points if I find a mushroom. ☺
